Happy Mothers' Day to All...... Happy Mothers' Day to All.....

We are still having May showers so my poor garden is still not being worked on. I may have to bite the bullet and work on it in the rain. I have Tues. and Wed. off, so I think I must really try and get in the garden then. This year I want to plant a flowering Cherry tree out front and maybe some climbing roses for the arbor that I want for the front walk.

I really want to get my garden to where I want it this year. I love the English cottage garden look. All the old-fashion flowers are just so beautiful. My dream list is foxgloves, artemisias, sweet peas, hollyhocks, peonies, primroses, violets, pansies, daffodils, snowdrops, daisies, delphiniums, hyacinths, and roses...lots of roses, plus herbs. My DH doesn't know it yet but I have a long honey do list with his name on it...hehehe... I will help him with the list, but I do plan on him doing all the heavy lifting. so until we meet again.. ~~smiles~~

Hi Katie,

I hope your Mother's Day was great and you got some things on your honey do list accomplished.

We used to go out to eat but it is too noisy and confusing for my elderly folks so everyone brings something and the guys and young uns' clean up and the woman don't lift a finger. My kind of day! LOL Linda

Good Morning Katie,

I have been popping in and out of my gardens trying to get things going during this rainy spring we are having. Hopefully today I will get my green beans in the vegetable garden, then I should be set. Feels good to have everything planted!
Blessings
Linda

I love an English garden and I always wanted to plant a cutting garden. I did plant hollyhocks in the garden in our old house. Oh and a vegetable garden would be a delight. You are lucky that your husband loves to garden too. Karen
