Country Life and Cottages

I really long to live in the country. My DH has promise me the house and land of my dreams, the only problem is that I don't think the house exist. I love cottages and I love farmhouses that have long porches that wrap around the house. I also love big Victorians house,so that leaves me with a crazy combo of a housee.. May some of you wonderful artist can come up with a house that fits it all. Then I will only have to plant the gardens and plan for the fruit trees and decide where to put the horses..I may even get some chickens. Well we still have to find the land, build the house and then go from there..all ideas are greatly welcome and all paintings, pictures and house plans are welcome as well... Until we meet again ~~smiles~~

Hi Katie,
It is good to dream and plan.
Makes the waiting go faster.

I love your concept house idea. You'll probably have to have it custom drawn and built but won't that be fun?

I've had a nice time visiting you and I know the perfect house for you. I watched "Are we done Yet" last night and the origional house was perfect and then there was a guest cottage. You would have the best of both worlds.
Thank you for stopping by my place.

Hi Katie,
All I can say is you have wonderful tastes in homes!! Hopefully one day you will find the house of your dreasms...it has to be out there somewhere. I guess the question is: will you be willing to relocate if you find it somewhere else? :o) Or you could build one just how you want it! Either way, may your many dreams come true....

Hi Katie,

When we built I found A basic layout that I likes and then told the builder how I wanted it to look on the outside. So, I bet you could take the last house you showed.....and the Victorian details to the porch and under the roof and you'd be on your way! There are so many house plan sites. I searched a long time....it was fun! Good Luck! ;-) Rosie

I would love a split level (as opposed to a 2 story), with a porch that wraps around the whole house and 10 foot ceilings throughout with lovely hardwood floors and beautiful rugs and a fireplace in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom, a spa like master bathroom, a kitchen with a double oven and a seperate entryway/hallway/foyer. Oh yeah, and a winning lottery ticket to pay for the whole thing. And a maid to clean it. Yep. That should just about do it for me.
Hey, a girl can dream, right? Right????
